BET has just announced Wizkid as Winner of the Best International Act – Africa Award in a special ceremony held in Los Angeles, beating off stiff competition from Davido, Mr Eazi, Tekno, Stonebwoy, Nasty C, Babes Wodumo and AKA. It’s the Starboy’s 2nd win in this category, first taking home the award (alongside Sarkodie) back in 2012.
Nasty C had initially been accidentally announced as winner sometime last week, but BET quickly apologized for the “glitch”. Gotta admit they finally got it right!

Mix Masta Garzy was spotted at Coke Studio earlier today with Nigeria’s Mega Super Star Patoranking and two other beat moguls, talk of Masterkraft and GospelOnDeBeat.
Garzy is soaring at at eagle’s pace this year already as he accumulated awards and traveling to places.
Just after The Gold Coast Prestigious Awards, Garzy left Ghana to Kenya as duty calls. Having Garzy around Coke Studio will be another surprise to be unfolded.
Masterkraft with the joy of meeting another intellect Iike himself took to his Instagram page to acknowledge maestro Garzy and GospelOnDeBeat saying “The 3 Super Producers”. Earlier this year, ace producer Kill Beat, Bisa K’dei and Joey B were at the same studio to execute a project yet to be revealed.
Also, mega platinum star, singer, songwriter and dancer Jason Derulo was at Studio as well earlier in Kenya and featured as a guest star on Coke Studio Africa – 2017 and a special episode dubbed ‘The Global Fusion Edition.’ He was unveiled in front of hundreds of top media from East African on Monday 12th June 2017 at a Coke Studio Africa Nairobi press conference held the Stanley Hotel.

Rock Radio Ghana a fast rising digital radio station presents Fitness Jam. Fitness Jam is an annual event to encourage exercising and keeping fit amongst the youth. The aim is to show people working out can be done in a super fun atmosphere.
The first annual Fitness Jam will come off on Republic Day 1st July 2017. Rock Radio team members and the general public will converge at the Ayi Mensah toll booth and climb up the Aburi mountain, when the mountain is conquered by the group, there will be an aerobics session with professionals.

Rock Radio Fitness Jam Set For Republic Day
US Based Ghanaian rapper BlackWay has signed a deal with Republic Records. He will move to Los Angeles next week as part of the deal to promote and grow his craft.
Born Yaw Sintim-Misa, he is the son of Ghanaian Comedian and Satirist Kwaku Sintim-Misa KSM). BlackWay was born in Brooklyn, United States of America but grew up in Ghana till the age of 13 when he returned to the States to live with his mother.
He started pursuing music at the age of 15. The praise from his family and friends encouraged him to continue making music, leading to approval from people in the music industry. He writes music based on inspiration and happenings in his life and the people around him.
Republic Records is a division of Universal Music Group, the world’s leading music company, it is home to an all-star roster of multi-platinum, award-winning legends and developing superstar artists.
Drake, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Kid Cudi, Jessie J, Damian Marley, Birdman, Ariana Grande and Lil Wayne are some of the artistes signed to the label.

Earlier yesterday, The Bhim Nation President Stonebwoy got married to his fiancé Dr. Louisa Ansong, a dentist and CEO of Denkyi African Sole at a private ceremony which took place on the Unique Floral grounds in the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
Though the two kept their relationship on the low, their relationship had been in existence since 2015 and Stonebwoy put a song on his EP, Livingstone to appreciate his sweetheart titled Louisa.
The ceremony which began with the traditional engagement at Louisa’s family house in Tema ended with a white wedding which hosted the creme de la creme of celebrities such as Abraham Attah, Stephen Appiah, Emmanuel Adebayor, Lil Win,Kofi Kinaata and Becca.

Ghanaian award-winning musician, Okyeame Kwame becomes one of the world’s top celebrity fathers on UNICEF’s “Super Dad Ambassadors” list.
The “Super Dads” is a new UNICEF initiative launched to celebrate fatherhood, and highlight the importance of love, play, protection and good nutrition for the healthy development of young children’s brains.
In support of the campaign and in commemoration of this year’s Father’s Day Celebration on June 18, the music star and his two children star in a short UNICEF film.
“For me, spending quality time with my children is the icing on the cake after a long day,” said Okyeame Kwame. “I get to come home to them, play and help them with homework and I forget any issues I may be dealing with. It’s honestly is the best part of the day for me.”
The artiste’s selection as ambassador comes at the back of his recognition as a father with an enviable, amazing relationship with his children which had taken centre stage in the media over the years.
Okyeame Kwame, born Kwame Nsiah-Apau joins big international figures such as David Beckham, Hugh Jackman, Novak Djokovic and Lewis Hamilton to highlight the critical role of fathers in children’s early development.

Okyeame Kwame Joins David Beckham as UNICEF Super Dad Ambassadors
Initial controversy over the beat production of Shatta Wale’s hit ‘Ayoo’ has been resolved. Award winning producer Possigee is repeatedly acknowledged on the song as the beat producer but apparently, the actual beat production credit is owed to beat maker Shawers Ebiem.
In an interview, Shawers Ebiem revealed that “the mixup was as a result of a lack of communication between Possigee and Shatta Wale”.
According to Shawers Ebiem, he sent an unmixed and unmastered version of the beat to Possigee who in turn forwarded it to Shatta Wale.
Shawers Ebiem was aware that the beat had been sent to Shatta Wale for consideration but was surprised to hear the song released with his beat a few days later because he wasn’t made aware that Shatta Wale had agreed to use his beat and wasn’t contacted prior to its use.
Shatta Wale was also not aware that the beat was made by Shawers Ebiem instead of Possigee and thus mistakenly gave the beat production acknowledgement to Possigee. Currently, there has been communication between the three parties and all misunderstanding has been resolved and both Shawers Ebiem and Possigee will continue to work with each other and with Shatta Wale in the future.

Ntelabi announced the release of a new single, Glory, with a release artwork last night on his twitter page. This is good news for his fans since this will be the first release after his re-branding campaign.

The single features sensational new Nigerian talent, bigBen of Harmony Records, and was produced by AMG Business producer- Lesane Dricks. He further hinted that the song will be released in two week’s time.
This is the official first single off his yet to be released LP, ‘Settings’. The ‘Settings’ LP is slated to be released in the later part of August, 2017.
Management at Ill Haven Records informed the media during an interview that Ntelabi is hoping to release about five singles before the final release of ‘Settings’.
