The contestants of TV3 Mentor Season 1 complained bitterly about how TV3 had left them to face their own destinies.
Speaking to Abeiku Santana on the show Total Showbiz, contestants such as Andy, Mavis and Okrasini Samuel narrated how the organizers of Mentor failed to keep to the terms of conditions in the contract they signed which stated that, the finalists will receive a manager and some hype or promotion of singles/albums they put out.
Okrasini Samuel complained of how strange it was to pay money for his music to be broadcasted live on the station’s channel. He added that, it was his hope that he would have had massive push from TV3 but they left him and his fellow contestants crawling to gain their feet in the already tough music industry. Also, Andy revealed to Abeiku Santana that, one of the contestants, Doris who was identified with singing gospel songs, wearing African print dresses and a notable headgear like that of the former First Lady had passed on. She died as a result of giving birth to her second child. Listeners and the presenter Abeiku Santana were shocked to hear that, TV3 had not sent representatives to pay tribute to the deceased even after going through hectic managerial procedures to pass on the message.
In addition, during the outdooring of Mentor 7 (where Andy was present), Andy said he tried prompting the organizers to say something about Doris’ death and it all fell on deaf ears.
From the look of things, all is not well in the camp of old contestants of the very popular TV3 mentor.
As new developments unfold, be rest assured Beatz Nation Entertainment desk will cover it.

Wabingy of Royal 89.3 interviews Andy Dosty on the upcoming Ghana Music Honours and his unhappiness about the list of DJs nominated.
The list of Nominees were
DJ Slim
DJ Vyrusky
Listen to the interview below .
Andy Dosty is an award-winning Tv and Radio Presenter, Musician, Disc Jockey(DJ) and a Producer.
The truth is like a lion, you don’t have to defend it; let it loose,it will defend itself–oh Yes,truthfulness is composed of justice and courage.
Coincidentally, renowned radio presenter, Dj Premier of Accra 100.5 FM,has exposed the Ghanaian media by indicating that, the media verbally killed the careers of most of the Ghanaian celebrities.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with razzonline.com, Dj premier, who was answering a question in line with how he perceives the Ghanaian media, limned astonishingly that, the media only thrives on negative stories or reportage which have ended up ruining the careers of most of our local stars; musicians and actors alike.
“I think the media is only thriving on negative stories or reportage…Instead of educating the public into purchasing musicians and actors’ CDs, we’ll rather spend so much time pushing an agenda that will pull them down–.Imagine how the media before the Vals day, used kwabena kwabena’s marital issues against him…. His show recorded a very low patronage when the media could have channeled their energy on helping make the show a Mega one, they rather used his marital problems against him and right after the show, no media is talking about him again, after all the agenda has been achieved”, Dj Premier opined to razzonline.com
Sounding extremely disenchanted, Dj Premier affirmed extensively that the media ruined the careers of musicians like hiplife legend Tictac, D Cryme, and Nana Boroo:
,”The media is the course of the down fall of most of our local stars, be it Musician, actor or actress…how can our local musicians and actors be compared to foreign artists when all we do is spend our energy in destroying their hard earned image… The media verbally have killed the careers of some musicians like tictac, D cryme, and Nana Boroo..
Born in real life as Bismark Boachie, Dj Premier who is the host of one of the most listen to entertainment shows on radio, ‘entertainment Capital’ on Accra 100.5, every Saturday between 10am-12pm, advised that, the media should make positive news trend.

Rap star Strongman has announced a new single titled ‘Aban’ slated for release on February 23 2017.
A source close to the rapper said the song is aimed at the Ghana government for taking citizens for granted. The cry of the ordinary Ghanaian has always been for the government to perform duties that they were voted for but they hardly fulfil their promises.
‘The song will spark a whole controversy for the rapper as He went out in his lyrics to Ghanaians. It is over a year now since Strongman recorded the song but management has always delayed on releasing the song as they feared it might draw negative cloud towards the artiste in a politically motivated country as Ghana,’ the source stated.
Strongman is noted to be a good wordsmith and his creativity has always been one factor music lovers have applauded him for.
The rapper who has been on the pre-hype for the visuals for his single ‘Oh Joo’ which featured Uptown Energy frontman, Yaa Pono, has decided to release this tune before the visuals sets in.
‘Aban’ which means ‘government’ in the Ashanti dialect is produced by rapper/producer, Cabum of OM Studios. The song will be available on all music streaming
