In spite of criticisms leveled at Hiplife artiste, Patapaa for making ‘noisy’ and ‘senseless’ music, Highlife musician, Kofi Kinaata believes the One Corner artiste is talented and has asked Ghanaians to rally behind him.
“I hate it when Ghanaians go hard on Patapaa because every musician is unique in his own way. If Ghanaians could enjoy a song like Man’s Not Hot by Michael Dapaah (BIG SHAQ) who didn’t really say anything in the song, then I don’t see why they should find fault with Patapaa,” he told Showbiz in an interview.
According to Kofi Kinaata it is not easy for a musician to make a hit song and if Patapaa could do One Corner which was a national hit and featured on other songs like That Thing with Article Wan, Akwaaba with Mr Eazi, Guilty Beatz and Pappy Kojo and Daavi with Kawoula Biov then he should be praised for his efforts.
The Susuka hitmaker said although Patapaa was being insulted for doing ‘noisy’ songs, he was laughing all the way to the bank.
“I hear he built a four-bedroom house with the money from One Corner and this is a guy who always rocks the stage. The earlier, we support him the better,” he said.
Kofi Kinaata said he would not mind collaborating with Patapaa on a song. “Some musicians will not be comfortable featuring Patapaa on their songs but I wouldn’t have problems at all featuring him. Once I direct him on what he should do on the song we are good to go,” he said.

GAMA is an annual music award scheme that seeks to recognize musical talent in The Greater Accra Region. It aims at recognizing and to celebrate the hard working artistes under the year in review. Ghana’s capital is undoubtedly hub of great talent however due to several talents seeking greener pasture in it, it has made it difficult for the musical fans to identify and celebrate them, and it’s also to touch base with indigenous Accra musical root.
MojoMedia is the organizing company with its support partners, seeks to promote musical talents in the Greater Accra Region. “It intends to recognize and celebrate the hard working artistes under the year of review”, the organizers said.
The CEO, “Mr Haruna Rashid Yussif” of the Greater Accra Music Awards, in an interaction with the media he said artists, groups, producers, sound engineers, video directors, fans and all the industry players are expected to nominate themselves or to be nominated by others for categories they qualify.
“Artistes must have worked under the year of review 2016 – 2018. Songs, album or music video that has been released in the year. A soft copy of the nominee’s profile, photographs and sample music is required with the entry form via www.greateraacramusicawards.com.
After the submission of nominations, all entries will be screened for eligibility. An “Award board” made up of recognized members of the Greater Accra Music Awards scheme will then shortlist each category.

Rapper Jayso has called out popular TV host Deloris Frimpong Manso aka Delay for being diabolical with the way she handles celebrities on her show. Delay has often been condemned by some Ghanaian celebs for her style of presenting which seeks to ‘extract’ a lot of information from them during interview sessions plus her brash approach to the interviewing process.
Others too have accused her of distorting some part of the interview to suit her own agenda and this is what Jayso is trying to point out. Recall that Kurl Songz also blasted her for the same offence, as he detailed how Delay twisted his words and editing some parts which were not to be included in his interview.
The Jennifer Lomotey’ hitmaker said weeks after his interview, he felt betrayed after Delayed portrayed him as a womanizer who sleeps with every woman he sees. Now back to Jayso; the rapper blasted Delay for using people to grow her fan base and earning from them which is highly unethical.
You call me for an interview so you can twist my words, create misleading headlines and basically use me as clickbait. Ok. Next time …. pic.twitter.com/usoSLFXVSz

Ghanaian beats producer and host of Joy FM’s Geeks Squad, Kobby Spiky Nkrumah, has called out African football’s governing body, CAF for the use of his work without permission.
The beats producer has revealed to adomonline.com that the football body used a soundtrack belonging to him for the promotion of CAF Awards without his permission.
[THREAD] So some time ago, I called out @CAF_Online for using my beat for their CAF awards promo… After a couple of emails, they deleted the posts on #IG #FB and twitter and decided not to continue communication, even after my lawyers wrote to them. https://t.co/AO83Qkx40z

According to Spiky, not even emails to CAF drawing their attention to the infringement on his intellectual property rights prompted the Federation to take the right action.
Mr Nkrumah produces beats under the production name, Spiky Beats and has expressly stated under his beats, “If you want to use my beats for commercial purposes, please contact me at [email protected]”.
#THREAD @CAF_Online & @CAF_Media used my beat without my permission 6 months ago. A young producer, working hard to make ends meet, the least you could do, some sort of remuneration, to motivate and inspire… But no! @FIFAcom how would you have dealt with this?
Your outfit uses a soundtrack without permission, the original rights owner reaches out, sends you a letter from his lawyers, calls you out on social media, etc. @CAF_Online & @CAF_Media are just pretending as if this did t happen. pic.twitter.com/TXlu7H4bOo— Kobby Spiky Nkrumah (@therealSpiky) June 19, 2019

In spite of the expressly stated conditions for use of his beat, however, CAF has gone ahead with the use of the beats without contacting Mr Nkrumah.
“When I complained to CAF, all they could do was to delete the promotional video from their page,” he told adomonline.com.
Mr Nkrumah has served notice that he would go all lengths to ensure the world is made aware of the infringement on his right.
