Ghanaian Rapper and Rebo Tribe’s forerunner Kwame Yesu (Big Ye) is set to release his first major single for the year “SuMoMi” on the 18th of March.
After successfully having a good year with his singles, “Anadwo” feat. Kimilist and Black Sherif and “Bam”, the Hip-Hop and Afrobeats star is diversifying his discography with this new highlife infused tune.
The upcoming single “SuMoMi”is a ‘Ga’( one of the local dialects spoken in Ghana) phrase which directly translates to English as ‘come and love me’. Just as the title states SuMoMi is an expression of love.
Kwame Yesu has been in a good space where he draws inspiration from his newly found muse; which gave him the urge to create this magic to share with the world.

Multi award-winning Ghanaian producer and DJ, GuiltyBeatz, has indicated that he ended up not receiving payments for his productions between the years 2010 and 2017.
GuiltyBeatz (who currently has the likes of Beyonce on his résumé) in an interview on Asempa FM revealed that
artistes would once in a while say ‘take something’, while some of them will tell him they’ll poay, and he’d end up chasing them but nothing came of it for 7 years.
Despite these conditions, GuiltyBeatz also believes it necessary to build relationships rather than focus on solely money.

On January 15th 2022, Nigerian-born British rapper and singer, Darkoo, dropped a studio snippet of ‘Always’ her upcoming song with Ghana’s fast rising act, Black Sherif. The anticipation for the song was sky high and as promised, Darkoo released the song on 24th February 2022.
The song was fire and did meet expectations. However a large section of Ghanaians did think Black Sherif’s bit in the song could have been prolonged a bit and many wondered what the song would have sounded like if it did happen…well, they did not have to wait long for that to happen.
Talented Musician/Producer Emotion Kontrolla made that ‘fix’ a reality when he took to twitter to demonstrate how the song would have sounded if Black Sherif’s part was prolonged.

On 28th February Fashion giant Virgil Ablorh’s OFFWHT launched their new collection in Paris.The show dubbed SPACESHIP EARTH,an “Imaginary Experience” had guests such as Naomi Campbell,Idris Elba,Pharrel,Rihanna,Kendal Jenner,Bella Hadid amongst others.
The warm up to the show had select djs from all over the world live streaming on social media platform TIKTOK for OFFWHITE’s audience.One of the DJs was Ghana’s TMSKD DJ and was produced and hosted by SURF GHANA and FREEDOM SKATE PARK.
TMSKD DJ is part of the few djs in Accra who has carved a niche for herself by curating special EDM/ADM sets for all her appearances.The massive rise of Amapiano and Afrohouse in the capital has also been attributed to her constant playing of the genre.

Ghanaian musician and record producer, Eyoh Soundboy, has passed on after battling kidney failure for years.
The tragic incident occurred in his home on Wednesday, 2nd March 2022, as confirmed by his wife, Aisha Yussif.
According to her, in the last days before his death, Eyoh wept bitterly in front of his children and asked them to forgive him for his inability to take care of them due to his illness.
