Electrifying Afrobeat and Highlife artiste, Fameye was honoured by the Second Gentleman in Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia when he joined the Ghana Police Service to celebrate their annual WASSA End of Year Party which occurred at the Ghana Police Headquarters.
The “Nothing I Get” hitmaker was surprisingly presented with a Plaque by the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Bawumia after performing as the Guest Artiste during the event.

Afrobeat singer and songwriter, Fameye respectfully stopped the release of his new video with Mr. Eazi in order to pay homage to veteran Highlife vocalist, Kofi B, who passed away during the early hours of February 2nd, 2020 after a short illness.
The “Nothing I Get” hitmaker prior to the demise of Kofi B discharged his first single of the year dubbed “Obolo” which features highly rated Nigerian artist, Mr. Eazi.

A reliable source close to Fameye revealed that the “Mati” crooner after receiving the sad news on Kofi B stood stun and sad for some minute without a word. He then after conveyed to teamt to halt the release of his new video to grieve the “Afia Donkor” hitmaker.
He additionally added Fameye was motivated by Kofi B during his youthful days and had plans to get him on a song one day. However, he urged all his fans and followers to anticipated a magnificent and colourful video soon.
“Obolo” is a love driven record with classic afrobeat melodies produced by Liquid Beatz.

Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ Sly has reminded organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to nominate his song “Ole Alo” for Best African Collaboration & Best Video at 2020 VGMA.
The international tune features SoundCity MVP Awards ‘Best Female Act’, Teni, 2018 AFRIMA ‘Best Female Artiste in Central Africa’, Daphne, 2016 VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ EL and Nigerian singer/rapper Skales.
“No Ghaniaan artiste has put together top African artistes from different countries on one song like I did,” he said in a statement. “Considering the mileage and the quality of the song, nobody deserves the category than myself.”
“Ole Alo” has received massive airplay in East Africa, Central Africa and West Africa.
The 2019 Ghana DJ Awards ‘Best Event DJ’ believes he deserves the two nominations because his song and music video are the best on the market.
He added that it will be unfair for organizers to exclude his single in the best collaboration and video category for this year’s VGMA.

Ghanaian artiste and producer duo, DopeNation, made Ghana proud at the just ended 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
The Lynx Entertainment signed artists emerged winners in the Best Duo category beating competition from Black Motion (South Africa), Blaq diamond (South Africa), Ethic (Kenya), Show Dem Camp (Nigeria) and Toofan (Togo.)

By the win, the Zanku hit makers were the only winners from Ghana at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
Several artists including Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and others lost out in their respective categories.
