Ghanaian Producer Eyoh Soundboy is in a critical condition, he’s on dialysis - Wife

Wife of sound engineer Eyoh Soundboy, Aisha Yussif, has disclosed on Rainbow Entertainment show on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that her husband is currently in critical condition but it has not reached the point where he would need a kidney transplant as speculated.

Speaking to sit-in host Summy Brown she said her husband has not been well over the past five months and was treated for several conditions including, malaria, typhoid, fever until he was recently diagnosed with kidney failure.

She indicated that her husband is currently on dialysis.

She also disclosed that someone recently called asking to donate his kidney to the sound engineer should he require a transplant.

Aisha Yussif stated that currently, the cost for his treatment has not been approved because it is not certain that he should get a transplant.

She stressed that ”he has been sick for the past five months but we never knew it was a kidney problem until a month ago. We have been moving from one hospital to another, and yet, they could not detect it was a kidney failure until a month ago. He was treated for Malaria, typhoid and ulcer, but it was kidney failure. He is currently on admission at Ridge.”

The family, she said, wanted to keep this private but some industry players including, comedian David Oscar have started a campaign to seek funds to support him after he sought permission from the family.

According to her, some industry players are supporting the family financially after they got to know of his condition.

”He is in a critical condition because four days ago, we rushed him to Yeboah Hospital in East Legon but they did not have the facility to cater for him so we had to rush him to Korle-Bu.”

GlennSamm

Clearly, the impotence of the fashion industry has compelled efficacious multiple award-winning Ghanaian model GlennSamm better known as Samuel Glenn Semakor to register his displeasure about the current state of the fashion industry in a Instagram post. Upon coming across the post, I reached out to him to dig deeper to find out his reason for making such a heavy statement. To my greatest surprise, he stated 3 key factors slowing down the growth of the fashion industry,

1. Lack of Collaborations:
Just like every fashion designer has a target audience to appeal to, every model equally has a target market to impress. But because of their egocentric nature, lack of respect for their craft and models, most fashion designers fail to collaborate with the right people to entice the right results.

GlennSamm

2. Disrespect from some designers:
Fashion designers and models are like Siamese twins, they complement each other’s office of competence to accomplish a greater goal or objective. One can never be respected if he/she is not respectful. Respect is like a mirror, it reflects any reaction projected in front of it.

3. Unstable income:
Speaking from experience, most fashion designers hardly pay models for hiring their service. They feel as though they’re doing the model a favour or not. Forgetting that, without these models, their costumes are nothing before their targeted customers. According to him, the challenge the fashion industry is facing is bigger than it seems. If models are not important, fashion designers must stop staging runway shows with immediate effect.

GlennSamm

With his Afrocentric fashion sense and royal appearance GlennSamm has been featured on many international publications like BBC, Vogue Magazine, just to mention a few. Beyond that, he has also worked with the likes of Stonebwoy, Ice Prince, Wakayna, Jah Phinga and other notable names as PR. He’s a native of Keta in the Volta Region but resides in Ashaiman.

After his previous single ‘Sexual Healing’, Kakra Jay takes fans to church on his latest Jay Sounds-produced record ‘Hyira Me’ (Bless Me) featuring J Bixil. This comes right in time to commemorate the act’s new trophy of ‘‘Promising Highlife Artist of the Year’’ at the just ended Ghana Innovation Awards 2021.

Opening up in a sweet tone that calls on God’s abundant blessings to shower down, Kakra Jay plays on the very familiar theme in his own unique way, put in full effect by his vocals, lyrics and a feature from J Bixil. In their charming voices, the two output an energy that’s in perfect sync with the production at hand, citing the many aspects of their lives that crave for God’s divine favor.

Kakra Jay’s’ Hyira Me’ comes with an accompanying video which shows the star and J Bixil decked in white attire, as the former steps into a church, walking towards its altar up ahead.

Ghana's Prince Bright has new song with Puerto Rican artiste reggaeton star H Merced

Ghanaian male vocalist Prince Bright has a new song with Puerto Rican artiste reggaeton star H Merced titled “Kumbaya”.

Prince Bright on this track demonstrates his vocal prowess on a reggaeton melody which has influences of reggae and dancehall with a blend of bomba and plena as well as hip-hop.

While Prince Bright croons in Ghanaian language Ga, H Merced sings in Spanish on the duet.

H Merced who is a well-known Puerto Rican star with several hits to his name combines with Prince Bright in an amazing duet.

After much anticipation within the week, BlaQad(@_blaqad) and producer duo PLUGNSIX, [Plugwill (@plvgwill) and Sixtrees (@sixtrees_)] have released their debut EP ‘These Days, Accra Nights Are Cold’. The EP is an ode to Ghanaian youths in their twenties, with themes depicting the occasional struggles with loneliness, the urge to be successful and prosper withstanding of all the obstacles faced each and every day.. It cuts across the rampant “packaging” that thrives within our society and depicts the truth behind the smiles we show ourselves each and everyday. The tracks are intertwined with skits from King Ampaw’s Kukurantumi: Road to Accra. It is shocking that the themes portrayed in the 1986 movie are still very much prevalent in our lives today.

BlaQad, with much gusto after the success of his last single Alright, blends English, Pidgin and Ewe over the Afro Traditional and Trap Fusion beats we’ve come to expect from PlugN6ix. They themselves buoyed over the fanfare from their first single, Cannibal featuring Kirani Ayat and Worlasi. The EP features Maame, a newcomer who lends her lush vocals over the instrumentation on Track 3, Waiting.

The cover art was skillfully designed by Mr. Smxf(@_smxf_) and photographed by Quame Selorm(@qu_a_me).
