S3fa, born Sefadzi Abena Amesu on May 17, 1995, is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter celebrated for blending Afropop, Afrobeats, R&B, and highlife into a sound marked by confidence and emotional depth. S3fa is known for her soulful voice, refined artistry, and seamless blend of Afropop, R&B, and highlife influences. She was born in Ghana’s Northern area and hails from Afife, a community in the Volta Region, the second of four siblings, with an Ewe father and a mother from the Upper East Region.

S3fa completed secondary school at Ola Girls Senior High School in Ho in 2014 before earning a diploma in purchasing and supply from Accra Technical University in 2017. Her passion for music took shape through live performances and social media, which eventually caught the attention of Black Avenue Muzik. She signed with the label in 2017 and made her professional debut with the single “Marry Me,” featuring Jupiter.

Her 2018 track “Shuga,” featuring Ghanaian duo DopeNation, became a street hit, building momentum toward her 2020 debut album, Growth, which brought together collaborations with artists such as Bisa Kdei, Fameye, Medikal, Sista Afia, Wendy Shay, and Camidoh. Her biggest breakthrough came with “E Choke,” featuring Mr Drew — a song so successful it won Afrobeats Song of the Year at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Beyond her chart success, S3fa has come to represent a new generation of African female artists reshaping presence and power within the industry, admired for her poise and professionalism. Stylizing her name as “S3fa,” she has continued releasing music, including recent singles like “Busy Body” with Stonebwoy and “All Over” with Camidoh, cementing her place among Ghana’s leading contemporary voices.
