Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington, known professionally as Kweku Darlington, is a Ghanaian singer, rapper, songwriter, and music producer hailing from Kumasi, Ghana. He blends traditional Ghanaian musical elements, hiplife, and Afrobeats with modern hip-hop and drill soundscapes, crafting a distinctive sound characterized by insightful, social-minded storytelling.
Darlington began writing and recording music at the age of 14, using his art as a vehicle for self-expression. He gained widespread national visibility during the 2019/2020 edition of the reality show TV3 Mentor Reloaded, where his creative concepts and engaging performances earned him a dedicated local fanbase.
Following his time on the show, he released the viral hit single “Obaa Ne Barima” (Woman and Man), which established his footprint on Ghanaian radio and social media platforms. His major mainstream breakthrough arrived in March 2021 with the massive drill anthem “Sika Aba Fie,” featuring Yaw Tog and Kweku Flick. The track quickly became a street favorite and topped radio charts across the country.
