Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, is at the center of a major controversy after a staunch fan known as Webkid was arrested by the Ghana Police Service, reportedly following a complaint made by fellow musician Stonebwoy. Shatta Wale issued a strong warning, demanding Webkid’s release or risking street protests from Shatta Movement members. Webkid had been a loyal defender of Shatta Wale’s brand online. Shatta Wale urged Webkid to stay strong, promising he would soon be free. The incident has since become a trending topic across Ghanaian social media.
