Zylofon Media Denies Paying Shatta Wale 1.5 Million Dollars For Record Deal

Zylofon Music has denied reports that they paid Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale an amount of 1.5 Million Dollars for the three-year record deal signed this week.

Samuel Atuobi Baah, Head of Communications for Zylofon Media denied the reports during an interview on Peace FM Thursday.

“We have not informed any media house the cash involved in the deal. They are just assuming the cost involved looking at the the pedigree of Shatta Wale and the record label,” explained Baah.

We both agreed not to disclose certain terms in the contract so for all those giving their quotes concerning the cash, they are the only people who can tell where they had their details from.”

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale is officially a member of Zylofon Media.

He was unveiled as a member of the imprint at its East Legon premises on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. The management deal between the two is at least for three years.

Wale, during his speech said he will be polished but more controversial. He also claimed Stonebwoy is like a brother, and that they talk everyday but he decided to hide the signing from him before it is made public.

The 2014 ‘Artiste of the Year’ winner joins Stonebwoy, Becca, Kumi Guitar, Joyce Blessing and others who were signed to the music label last year.

Zylofon Media is a subsidiary of Zylofon Media Company Limited is limited liability company duly registered and incorporated in Ghana.

The signing saw a number of showbiz personalities, arts and entertainment journalists as well as bloggers who thronged Zylofon Media headquarters to witness the event.
