DJames reconnects with Qing Madi on “Can’t Wait,” a smooth Afrobeats collaboration that blends DJames’ production with Qing Madi’s R&B-influenced vocals. Released on October 2, 2026 through LVRN Records and Kick It, the single marks another collaboration between the two artists following their 2024 link-up, “Love Me.”
On “Can’t Wait,” Qing Madi delivers an emotive performance around romantic anticipation and emotional connection. Her vocals remain at the centre of the record, while DJames provides a smooth, laid-back production that gives the song an intimate feel without losing its Afrobeats character.
The collaboration brings together DJames’ work as a producer with Qing Madi’s melodic style, creating a relaxed Afro-R&B record built around the feeling of wanting to be close to someone. The accompanying visualizer gives “Can’t Wait” a visual presentation while extending the mood of the latest collaboration between the two artists.
