Nigerian singer Chella explores a playful and provocative theme on “Pretty Nun,” using religious imagery and humorous expressions to create a song centred on attraction, flirtation and temptation. The lyrics feature repeated references to a reverend sister, blending spiritual terminology with cheeky romantic innuendos. Chella’s delivery combines catchy repetitions, expressive wordplay and entertaining phrases, giving the record its distinctive character. The contrast between religious references and the song’s suggestive lyrics forms the central concept of the release.
The official music video brings this idea to life through contrasting visual settings. Chella appears alongside backup dancers dressed in stylized nun-inspired outfits against a backdrop of deep red curtains and a vintage car. Other scenes feature him walking along a highway, interacting with a truck driver and delivering energetic performances in a black leather jacket and clerical collar. The combination of road-trip imagery, distinctive styling and theatrical performances gives “Pretty Nun” an unconventional visual identity.
