Asiama returns to his roots with “No Place,” a deeply personal record about home, identity, family and the memories that shape a person. Released on September 3, 2026, the song serves as a musical homecoming for the Kumasi-born artist, drawing on the Akan idea of Sankofa, returning to the past to move forward with greater purpose.
Performed in both Twi and English, “No Place” blends traditional Ashanti drumming, Highlife, Asakaa, Trap Soul and Alternative R&B. The live-instrumentation approach gives the song an organic feel, while Kwame Yeboah handled production, recording, mixing and engineering. Asiama’s storytelling turns memories of Kumasi and the people connected to home into an emotional reflection on where he comes from and what continues to shape him.
The official music video extends that homecoming narrative through intentional imagery. Directed by Asiama and Tina “Be.love” Atiemo, with Prince Agyei Peprah serving as Director of Photography, the visual reinforces the song’s themes of heritage, memory and belonging. Coming after Asiama’s 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards win for Best Male Vocal Performance, “No Place” introduces another chapter in the story of an artist increasingly defining his own sound and identity.
