Akwaboah – Pressure [Official Music Video]

Akwaboah delivers a message of patience and perseverance in the official music video for “Pressure,” a reggae tune from his Lighthouse album, released on November 24, 2023. As an artist widely recognised for his love songs, Akwaboah uses this record to explore everyday struggles and the journey towards success.

On “Pressure,” Akwaboah reminds listeners not to let life’s demands overwhelm them. The lyrics acknowledge that everyone wants a better life, but success takes time, with the Bible’s message that everything has its season reinforcing the need for patience. He asks others not to rush or burden him, recognising the difficulties of life while maintaining the belief that he will eventually make it.

The reggae arrangement gives the message a relaxed, reflective feel, supporting the song’s call to remain focused rather than compare progress or give in to pressure. As the fourth track on Lighthouse, “Pressure” shows another side of Akwaboah’s songwriting, reminding listeners that progress can be gradual and that everyone has their own time to succeed.

The song is produced by Akwaboah.
