Mellissa (stylized as MELLISSA) is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter, music producer, and recording artist based in Accra. Distinctly branding herself as the “Afro Sexy Leader,” she has carved out a unique space in the West African music landscape with her sultry, genre-blending sound that fuses contemporary R&B, Afrobeats, and high-energy Afropop.
Mellissa first gained notable industry attention through high-profile collaborations with major figures in the African alternative and Afro-fusion scenes, such as appearing alongside Moliy on Boj’s track “In A Loop” and teaming up with Nigerian artist Blaqbonez for the single “Tattoo.” Known for her hands-on approach to her music, she releases projects under her own imprint, Mellissa Mvsic.
In early 2026, she reached a major milestone with the rollout of her highly anticipated project Diamond Baby, which yielded successful tracks and collaborations including “Fight For You,” “In & Out” (featuring Amaeya), “Genie Baby” (with Haitian DJ/producer Michaël Brun), and the breakout hit “Show Me” featuring Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy.
