Obibini’s “The Bozay Story” is a cautionary tale wrapped in sharp Twi lyricism. Through the life of Bozay, a street criminal who robbed, shot, served time, and still couldn’t break the cycle, Obibini delivers a sobering message about how crime offers no real escape. Money, women, and street credibility couldn’t save Bozay from himself. Prison didn’t rehabilitate him. The streets always collected their debt. It’s a vivid reminder that the gangster lifestyle romanticized in many songs leads to one of two destinations, a cell or a grave. Obibini doesn’t preach, he simply tells the story and lets the truth land.
