Ko-Jo Cue has released the visuals for “Fruit of the Womb,” the opening track from his deeply personal album KANI: A Bantama Story. The song functions almost like a memoir, tracing his upbringing in Bantama, Kumasi, and how family roots shaped his journey. Rather than a typical love song, it’s a confessional reflection on the responsibility he feels toward his mother, the gratitude for her sacrifices and the struggle to give back. In the chorus he admits, “Have I taken on more than I weigh?” yet he keeps pushing forward because of all she gave him, setting an emotional tone that carries through the rest of the album.
