Twitter Ghana was hit with a tweet from American rapper Wiz Khalifa at midnight saying he couldn’t wait to come to Ghana.
This comes as no surprise as American stars such as Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keyz, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown have expressed love for African countries such as Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.
However, we are excited since Stars from America have started to notice the arts and culture from Africa of which we think is Long overdue.
Check out the tweet below

I can’t wait to go to Ghana.

We came across interesting reactions to Wiz Khalifa’s tweet. Here are some, enjoy:

Shatta Movement Empire boss and Self-acclaimed African Dancehall King stated his intention to run for the MUSIGA presidency in the near future. He disclosed this in an interview with Bola Ray (CEO of EIB Network) on Starr FM’s ‘Starr Chat’.
The statement was in response to a question posed by Zabu Yaro David , a listener of the show from kumasi.
” Shatta Wale i am a big fan , you seem to be fighting for Ghanaian artists and i want to encourage you , i’m urging you on. Are you sure you can win this battle ? You have actually bashed MUSIGA (Musicians Union of Ghana) on several occasions. What exactly is your problem with MUSIGA ? and what are some of the things you actually want to put in place in case you become president of MUSIGA.”
Shatta Wale responded by saying:
We are working on that … I really want to, because i believe my rule is going to be one that is going to be remembered because i feel music in Ghana is asleep, musicians are asleep , the music itself is asleep and we have to wake up . That is why anywhere you see me , you can see somebody like Pope Skinny and that is one thing that we’ve been talking about. He’s one artist that i feel also cares about the Ghana music industry and we are working on that.

He continued by saying
I’ve told Obour (current president of MUSIGA) a couple of times that musicians are complaining even though he might think he’s there and he’s working , people are saying he’s not working and the problems that we have in the industry are still ongoing. So let’s just see what God gives us, all we pray for is long life.

UPDATE: 21st November 2016
Shatta Wale took to twitter again to express displeasure with MUSIGA. He posted:
” Ok obuor is about to go , Musicians are fed up , Obuor is not competent to be our Musigha president.
Musicians getting sick and cant pay their bills , Obuor is a disappointment to the youth , No musician should lie about this , we are suffering .
Obuor is big gold digger in our music industry , Musicians are crying !!!
Obuor has taking too much of musicians in Ghana“

After reporting news of the death of rising dancehall act, Vybrant Faya, the real cause of death has been established.
A close source from the Shattta Movement Family, Kelly Nii Lartey Mensah Communication Directorate, has released a press statement revealing that the mampi hit maker suffered an accident on the Tema Motorway and later died at the 37 Military Hospital.
He said that, they had met with the deceased and his family for a meeting around 3pm on Sunday,23 October,2016 and received a call later stating that Vibrant Faya was admitted in the 37 Military Hospital and which he died later.
The SMF label as well as music lovers are in a state of shock and we wish the family and members of the SMF our heartfelt condolences in these trying times.
Information reaching Beatz Nation is that, Mampi Hitmaker Vybrant Faya is dead.
The rising dancehall artiste blew up with his song Mampi in April 2014 under the Shattta Movement Family Label.
The real cause of death is yet to be established. However, Hitz Fm, GH Base.com and Pulse Ghana have also confirmed the news.
Another rising dancehall talent cut short but only God knows best. May He Rest In Peace.

— DIRECTOR OJ (@bigojfilms) October 22, 2016
Fuse ODG was the closest artiste from Ghana we could see winning an MTV Award but I can’t even end the rest of this tweet because I’m sad.

The AMG business rap act Medikal seems to have nothing stopping him.
The By Heart Boy rapper recently featured Sarkodie on the remix of his sick tune, ‘Confirm‘ and later released a banger ‘Free Me‘ which again featured Sarkodie, Mr Eazi and his AMG label boss, Criss Waddle.
We woke up today to see a blue tick on the Twitter page of the fast rising rapper. He has however had facebook verification for a while now.
For those who don’t know what the blue tick on twitter means , it implies that you are a person of public interest and you are highly sought-after.

This is just the starting point of something big about to happen in the career of Medikal and we at Beatz Nation have nothing but love and much support for him.
