Stephen Kofi Frimpong, known professionally as Khendi Beatz, is a Ghanaian music producer, mixing and mastering engineer based in Kumasi. A graduate of Kumasi Technical University (2019), he discovered his passion for production after JHS and officially launched his career in 2016. Operating out of Slaughter House Studio in Afful Nkwanta, he has grown into one of Ghana’s most sought-after beatmakers, earning a reputation as a platinum mixing engineer and a key architect of the sound of Ghanaian street rap and afrobeats.
Khendi Beatz won Producer of the Year at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) held on May 10, 2025, for his work on “Aseda.” “Aseda” by King Paluta, also took home Most Popular Song of the Year at the same ceremony.
He has a close working relationship with Yaw TOG — producing, mixing and mastering almost all his songs, including the major hit “Sore” and its remix, as well as three tracks on the TIME EP.
