Nana Yaw Owusu Ofori-Ampofo, better known in music circles as Epidemix started making beats in 2007 and has gone on to produce and record a wide variety of music from Hip Hop to Afro Pop to Urban Gospel.

EARLY LIFE
Epidemix’s interest in music production grew from his love for hip hop music. He spent a lot of time in his primary school years listening to hiplife and hip hop music from artistes such as 50 Cent and Obrafuor and recording his favourite songs off the radio to his cassette recorder. His first attempt at making beats was in Junior High School with HammerHead Rhythm Station but switched to FL Studio 4 in 2007 after receiving a demo version from a friend.
While in Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon he eventually met Chip, David and Elvis Pluwn(of Catalyst Entertainment) who influenced him to start making music commercially.
He graduated from KNUST with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 2017. While in university he taught himself how to play keyboard and guitar while also building on his production technique and sound engineering.
MUSIC CAREER
Epidemix has worked with various artistes such as Jayso, Copta, Chip, TheWord, Bryan the Mensah, Kevin Sol, Abonda, BigBadWolf, O.T.I and Kwame Nsiah. He has contributed to two beattapes hosted by Catalyst Entertainment and has production credits on Jayso’s 0106 EP Vol 2, Copta’s U.N.I and Bryan the Mensah’s Friends With Sun EP.
MUSICAL INFLUENCES
Epidemix draws inspiration from his favourite producers Jayso, Timbaland, Hammer of The Last Two, Just Blaze, Kanye West, Boi-1da and Scott Storch.
