Tsoobi, The Next Big Thing In Ghanaian Female Dancehall

Dancehall which is also known as Bashment is a Jamaican originated genre of music in the late 1970’s. Rhoda Yaa Ohenewaa Darko, a beautiful young songstress originating from Ghana(west Africa) is a fast rising new sensation of Dancehall music in Ghana.

Tsoobi( Stage name) born on 24th October, 1996 is an old student of St Mary’s Senior high school. Among the few female dancehall acts in Ghana, what makes tsoobi different is her ability to write her own songs and her fluency in Jamaican patois which she learnt from her uncle who is a Rastafarian.

Doing music has always been her dream since infancy, active music became a reality after 13th July, 2016 when she joined her recent label +816 Entertainment. The zeal to achieve greater heights with dancehall and music as a whole has always been her inspiration and a tool which has kept her moving forward. Tsoobi is an intelligent, versatile, jovial, fun loving lady who proud herself with her signature #Maadie. Her works such as “Ring my thing”, “Slow down” and ‘’Ride on’’(Work Rihanna cover) has caught the attention of Dancehall and good music lovers, winning her a lot of fans in Ghanaian music industry.
