After dropping emotionally inspired songs like AWULA and ADIE NYINAA, Signal on 18th December unveiled his second song for 2020 and it’s definitely a Christmas hip-hop banger.

He titles this one NOT BEAUTY BUT BRAINS (NBBB). The song employs heavy drums and snares by record producer SEI BEATS. Signal goes ahead to feature multiple VGMA nominee Tulenkey and Nigeria’s finest emcee; Maytronomy who has worked with M.I. Abaga (number one rapper in Africa), Seyi Shay, Banky W among others.

The unique attribute of this song is its campaign against hip-hop’s faux pas– Misogyny.
Hip-hop despite its commercial success since the 1980s is still rejected by many due to its objectification of women, preach of gun and drug use. Signal and his compatriots took a different turn to retell their story to empower women to strive for greater things like self-empowerment and investments.

Finally, Signal discloses his sapiosexuality on NOT BEAUTY BUT BRAIN. The fact that he is solely glued to women who are smart and ready to elevate a man to self-actualization.
